Visualization of the 1st violin of the 2nd symphony, 4th movement by Ferdinand Ries in the shape of a rollercoaster.
Bravo.
THIS IS GREAT.
Procrastinating, pretending to worry
Solving problems by pushing them aside
Wasting time like we’ve all the time in the world
Deliberation instead of solution, another term for blatant lies
Biding time like we’ve all the time in the world
And I’m not the only one who thinks we’re trying to say
To the heavens and all who hear us: behold all we have made!
We bring destruction, we bring war without an end
and we live in hope that tomorrow never comes
We conquer paradise just to burn it to the ground
And we build a future to honour pasts we left behind
We bring destruction, we bring war without an end
And then we live in hope that tomorrow never comes
The problems get worse before they get better
We find excuses to divert our eyes
Let tomorrow deal with what we could have done
And if you think we’re the future, that we build tomorrow
When was the last day without war?
We speak of greatness we have never been
It’s just you and me now
It’s just you and me now
Against the worldBeautiful song
[and beautiful lyrics]

Doctorin’ the Tardis by The Timelords (The KLF)
Back when I was a DJ at ROCU, The Radio of Clark University, I was digging though the old record collection when I stumbled across a record by the Timelords (KLF, really) with the very late 80’s electronic tune called Doctorin’ the Tardis! As an old school Doctor Who fan I immediately went Bananas over how awesome this track was both in terms of it’s love for the classic British Sci-Fi series as well as it’s unashamedly campiness! Here is the original track and music video as a beat-up old police car smashes a few cardboard Daleks! Enjoy the ridiculousness!

A letter come blowin’ in on an ill wind
Somethin’ ‘bout me and you
Never seein’ one another again
Yeah, well I knew it’d come
Still I was struck deaf and dumb
Like when we kissed, that taste of blood on your tongue
Don’t worry Darlin’, now baby don’t you fret
We’re livin’ in the future and none of this has happened yet
Don’t worry Darlin’, now baby don’t you fret
We’re livin’ in the future and none of this has happened yet
Woke up Election Day, skies gunpowder and shades of gray
Beneath a dirty sun, I whistled my time away
Then just about sundown
You come walkin’ through town
Your boot heels clickin’
Like the barrel of a pistol spinnin’ ‘round
Don’t worry Darlin’, now baby don’t you fret
We’re livin’ in the future and none of this has happened yet
Don’t worry Darlin’, now baby don’t you fret
We’re livin’ in the future and none of this has happened yet
The earth it gave away, the sea rose toward the sun
I opened up my heart to you it got all damaged and undone
My ship Liberty sailed away on a bloody red horizon
The groundskeeper opened the gates and let the wild dogs run
I’m rollin’ through town, a lost cowboy at sundown
Got my monkey on a leash, got my ear tuned to the ground
My faith’s been torn asunder, tell me is that rollin’ thunder
Or just the sinkin’ sound of somethin’ righteous goin’ under?
Don’t worry Darlin’, now baby don’t you fret
We’re livin’ in the future and none of this has happened yet
Don’t worry Darlin’, now baby don’t you fret
We’re livin’ in the future and none of this has happened yet
Don’t worry Darlin’, now baby don’t you fret
We’re livin’ in the future and none of this has happened yet
None of this has happened yet
None of this has happened yet
None of this has happened yet
None of this has happened yet
