How to Annoy Yourself
Start singing “Lovecraft” instead of “Love Shack”. Spend the day trying to rewrite the whole song to be Lovecraft references. …. I have to confess that I’ve only just started reading Lovecraft (literally just started last night). I read a little in high school, but that was roughly 600 years ago, so I don’t remember much of it.

New Tattoo
Ferdinand the Bull tattoo (from the Robert Lawson illustrations).  Three hours old, so it’s still shiny and a little wrinkly from the wrap. It’s also difficult to photograph your own arm. Better pictures will be taken later. I am in love with the details on the flower and the butterflies.

Queer As Folk Re-Vamped Bookstore | Melbourne,...
Customer: “Hey. You were talking about vampire books with the last customer?”
Me: “The’yre here on the wall next to the counter.”
Customer: “Do you have any gay ones?”
Me: “Do you mean as in homoerotic literature?”
Customer: “Yeah.”
Me: “Oh, no. Have you tried [romance bookshop] across the road?”
Customer: “Why would I go there? I just want gay vampires.”
Me: “Well that’s generally a subsection of romance, not Sci-Fi.”
Customer: “I don’t want romance! I just want gay vampires!”
